Beyond the "Happily Ever After" of Sacred Romance

So much happening inside and out since Beltane, it's hard to choose one to focus on, but one that is front and center for me is the deepening that has been going on for Kasha and myself over these past months.

We have navigated so much in our past which we are in continual honoring and sorting through as we move into our next phase of romance and service. In the past, there was something parts of us both attached to both that created conflict and tension between us.

We have spent a lot of time healing our own wounds and projections to help us get to a place where we can stay in the room with more grace and vulnerability than we did in the past thanks to the help or our mentors and beloveds.

Romance itself is challenging when you realize how scary the whole thing is when it is shorn of the 'Honeymoon' phase and the 'Happily Ever After' story. We are laid bare in front of each other feeling our needs and expressing our truths in a way that hopefully deepens the bond without a guarantee it will be so.

So in that way, we are more in Presence than Romance, even as romance has its much-needed and integral place at our altar. Even in service, we are in the overflow of our Usness which only comes with the over flow of our I-ness, or our Divine Self-ness.

This is the daily relational yoga we find ourselves in.

It is not something you 'figure out'. It is something you 'feel out'. From self-to-self and self-to-other. Going into the vertical (you) to feel all the blocks, distortions, and projections as well as all the love that has been withheld in fear and in protection. Then as that opens out, the horizontal (the USness, or the desire for an USness) has more space to breathe and to deepen.

We have known completion. We have known separation. We have felt the grief and the relief both. Now we are here again to bring the union forming within into the union that is forming between. We want to share and serve it to others. We are being called to do so, not out of purpose, but out of love.

Love for the parts of you seeking belonging and acceptance within.

Love for the times you have been hurt and abandoned.

Love for the healing that it brings to you and the world at large.

Love for the sake of Love Itself.

We have set our intensions to serve from this place and in this space. We desire not to keep this just between us, but in support of and service to something bigger than us. We recorded our first video together in many years offering this space for other couples who feel the genuineness of our intention and desire.

And, of course, we also serve the union within the individual for that is where the greatest union exists.

Romance is a doorway into the deeper layers of your heart and soul and that starts from you-to-you and extends to you-to-other, and you-to-the world.
